Sergio Busquets has reportedly decided to leave Barcelona this summer when his contract expires.
Manager Xavi considers his former teammate to be an essential member of his squad, and tried to convince the 34-year-old to stay at Camp Nou.
However, Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo reports that after taking time to think about his future after Spain's World Cup exit, the veteran has decided to leave the Catalan club.
The report also states that he is interested in a move to the MLS, specifically Inter Miami, with whom there has already been contact with negotiations set to continue throughout December and January.
The MLS outfit's interest in Lionel Messi could be a deciding factor, according to the report, as the families of both players are very close.
The player also reportedly has offers from Europe, but would prefer a move to the United States.
