Sevilla are reportedly preparing an approach for Velez Sarsfield midfielder Lucas Romero.
The 20-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best youngsters in Argentine football, with a number of clubs linked with a move.
However, according to Marca, the strongest interest has arrived from Sevilla, with the Europa League winners confident that a deal will be completed during the World Cup.
It is understood that Romero will cost in the region of £5.5m.
Sevilla have also been linked with a move for Fenerbahce midfielder Mehmet Topal as they prepare for the loss of Ivan Rakitic, who looks certain to join Barcelona this summer.
