Barcelona defender Gerard Pique believes that the club's style of football means that it is difficult for them to buy new centre-backs.
The La Liga champions have been linked with moves for Paris Saint-Germain's Thiago Silva as well as David Luiz of Chelsea this summer as they continue their pursuit of a new centre-half.
However, Pique feels that the Catalan club's search for a new man in the middle is hampered by the way they set out their play on the field.
"It's hard to find the right profile [of player] because our style of play is unique," Pique said in a press conference.
"Experience says it's not easy to find a centre-back for Barca."
Pique rejoined Barcelona from Manchester United in 2008.
