Barcelona attacker Neymar has claimed that referee Clos Gomez "lost control" of the Catalan side's La Liga clash with Villarreal on Sunday.
Neymar, along with Luis Suarez, was booked for dissent in the second period of the top-flight match, while no fewer than five yellows were awarded to the hosts, who ran out 3-0 winners.
Neymar, who scored twice in the success, has said that 'tempers ran high' at Camp Nou due to the referee's handling of the match.
"The referee lost control of the game and made tempers run a little higher than usual. We couldn't say anything or answer him back. Whenever we opened our mouths, it was a yellow card," Neymar told Canal+.
The win for Barcelona moved Luis Enrique's side onto 27 points and they now have a three-point lead over Real Madrid at the top of the table.
