Former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola suggests that he could boss Spain in the future.

Former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola has not ruled out the possibility of coaching Spain in the future.

The 41-year-old, who left the Catalan club at the end of the season, has confirmed, however, that he will spend the next year in New York.

"Coaching the national team? You never know what could happen. I'm feeling very well in New York, and I'll stay here for a year. I don't know when I will return to coaching, but it will not be this year," Guardiola told reporters.

"I will make my comeback once I have the desire to coach again, but that's not the case just yet."

The Spaniard made 47 appearances for his country.
