Scottish League One roundup: Ayr United stay top after win against Peterhead

Sports Mole rounds up all of Saturday's Scottish League One action, with Ayr United remaining top despite a 1-1 home draw with Peterhead.

Ayr United remain top of Scottish League One despite a 1-1 home draw with Peterhead at Somerset Park. Nicky Devlin put the Honest Men in front after 55 minutes, but it was James Redman who snatched a point with three minutes remaining.

Dunfermline Athletic remain second, but were held to a 1-1 draw by Airdrieonians. George Hunter put the visitors ahead in the first half, before Michael Moffat fired an equaliser with just over 15 minutes remaining.

Forfar Athletic suffered a third loss of the season after a 2-1 home defeat to Stranraer. A Mark McGuigan brace helped the visitors move up to eighth, while Michael Travis pulled back a consolation goal for the Loons.

Albion Rovers stay in fifth despite an Andrew Barrowman brace handing his side a 2-0 win against Stenhousemuir at Cliftonhill.

Brechin City picked up just their second victory of the season after second-half goals from David Bates and Jonathan Tiffoney secured a 2-0 win at home to Cowdenbeath, but remain bottom of the league.
