Ayr United have moved to the summit of the Scottish League One table after a 2-1 victory over Airdrieonians.
An early Liam Watt goal gave Airdrie the lead, but Craig Moore struck just before the break before Brian Gilmour scored from long range to secure the three points.
Forfar Athletic surrendered top spot after a shock 2-1 defeat at the hands of strugglers Cowdenbeath. Gordon Smith opened the scoring at Central Park before Gavin Swankie equalised but Greig Spence found the top corner 20 minutes from time to lift Cowdenbeath out of the relegation play-off place.
Dunfermline Athletic kept the pressure on Ayr United, and moved up to second in the table, with a 5-0 rout at Stenhousemuir. Fayssal El-Bakhtaoui scored his 13th and 14th goals of the season and Mickael Antoine-Curier netted his first goal for the Fifers in the 85th minute.
Elsewhere, Brechin City secured their first points of the season at the seventh attempt with a 3-2 victory over Peterhead. With four goals shared in the first half, Robert Thomson scored the winner with seven minutes to spare.
Stranraer's troubles continued when Scott McBride struck late to give Albion Rovers a 1-0 win.
