Borussia Dortmund have reportedly turned down an invitation from Atletico Madrid to sign Mario Mandzukic.
The Croatian striker only joined Atletico from Bayern Munich 12 months ago, but speculation has suggested that he has failed to adapt to life in the Spanish capital.
Atletico are prepared to let Mandzukic leave the Vicente Calderon, but only for a fee in the region of £30m, according to Bild.
The report adds that such an asking price is out of Dortmund's reach and as a result they will seek alternative striking options.
Mandzukic, who scored 20 goals in all competitions last season, has recently been linked with AC Milan.
