Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has expressed his disappointment at coach Diego Simeone's omission from the UEFA Coach of the Year shortlist.
The 10-man shortlist contains such names as Vicente del Bosque, Rafael Benitez and Jose Mourinho, and Cerezo said that he was unhappy to see Los Rojiblancos' boss left off the list.
"[Simeone] should have been nominated, but unfortunately we are not the ones that make the list," Cerezo told reporters.
"Either way, he deserved to be. He is one of those who is most deserving. It is he who has won the most titles in recent years.
"[I am] more than angry, I am disappointed. Simeone is the sensation of Europe."
Simeone's side are currently second in La Liga.
