Arsene Wenger, Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho up for FIFA accolade

Arsene Wenger, Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho are among the nominees for the FIFA World Coach of the Year for 2013.

Arsene Wenger, Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho have all been nominated to become the FIFA World Coach of the Year for 2013.

The trio make up a shortlist of 10 managers from around the world who are vying to receive the award, including former Chelsea boss Rafael Benitez, who guided the Blues to the Europa League title in May before making an impressive start to life at Napoli.

Retired ex-Bayern Munich head coach Jupp Heynckes is also up for selection having won the treble with the Bundesliga outfit, while Juventus boss Antonio Conte and former Paris Saint-Germain chief Carlo Ancelotti, who is now at Real Madrid, won the Serie A and Ligue 1 titles respectively.

Borussia Dortmund's Jurgen Klopp also has a place among the nominees after helping his side to the Champions League final, as well as international coaches Vicente del Bosque and Luiz Felipe Scolari, who enjoyed a successful year with Spain and Brazil in turn.
