Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has declared his delight at seeing the club finally beginning to become recognised as one of the best in Europe.
Atletico have emerged as serious contenders for the La Liga title, after winning the Copa del Rey last season, and the plaudits that they have been getting this campaign is a source of pleasure for Los Rojiblancos' boss.
"Atletico Madrid are being recognised throughout Europe," Simeone told reporters.
"I am part of the club and that makes me happy. We are making every effort to be competitive in everything we play in and that is down to the work every day
"We know that without hard work and team play, we cannot continue like this."
Atleti play Austria Vienna in the Champions League this evening.
