AC Milan will reportedly move for Atalanta BC winger Alejandro Gomez when the winter transfer window opens in January.
The 27-year-old, who joined his current club from Metalist Kharkiv in the summer of 2014, is believed to have attracted a host of interest following his recent performances in Serie A.
According to Sport Mediaset, Milan have stepped up negotiations over the weekend and will launch an offer at the start of 2016.
Gomez, who has represented Argentina at youth level but not yet been capped by the senior team, also spent three years with Catania from 2010 to 2013.
Milan are expected to improve their squad in January following an indifferent start to the new campaign.
