Aston Villa defender Ryan Bertrand has called on his teammates to remain focused in their push for Premier League survival.
The on-loan Chelsea left-back played a full part in Villa's 4-1 victory against Norwich City last time out, which came after disappointing results in the Villans' previous three games.
"At Cardiff, there were some world-class saves from their keeper, West Ham it was just constant pressure on their goal and Newcastle, in the first half, if we'd have had the rub of the green we'd have been able to go in at least 1-0 up at half time," the 24-year-old is quoted as saying by the club's official website.
"There's been a quiet confidence, but with the result and the way the team played the other day against Norwich it all came to the fore. A win does wonders for the club. We're in an okay position now so we have to keep focused and keep it going for as long as we can.
"We've had a mixed bag of results but it's important that we've been able to get a good win just before the break and hopefully we can take that into the next game."
The victory over Norwich lifted Villa into 11th place in the Premier League table.
