Monaco complete Fares Bahlouli deal

Monaco confirm the signing of Fares Bahlouli from Lyon on a four-year deal.

AS Monaco have completed the signing of midfielder Fares Bahlouli from Lyon on a five-year deal.

Despite being used sparingly by Lyon boss Hubert Fournier in Ligue 1 last season, Bahlouli's potential has seen him linked with Juventus and Manchester City in recent months.

However, Monaco have won the battle to secure the 20-year-old's services after agreeing a fee in the region of £2.4m.

"I am excited to join AS Monaco. This is a club that is currently building a beautiful project by trusting youth. I cannot wait to see my new teammates," Bahlouli told the club's website.

Lyon have confirmed that the deal includes a sell-on clause should Bahlouli leave Monaco in the future.
