Tottenham Hotspur are not interested in signing Marouane Chamakh from Arsenal, according to talkSPORT.

Tottenham Hotspur have no interest in signing Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh on loan, according to reports.

Speculation intensified on Monday that Andre Villas-Boas was looking to bring the Moroccan to White Hart Lane to provide support for lone forward Jermain Defoe.

However, talkSPORT claims that Spurs are keen to add a new striker to the squad but are not considering a move for Chamakh.

The Gunners forward has scored just eight goals in 40 appearances since moving from Bordeaux and finds himself way down the striking pecking order at the Emirates, after Arsene Wenger signed Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud earlier this summer.
