Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio reportedly tells club president Florentino Perez that five clubs - including Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal - are interested in him.

Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio has reportedly told club president Florentino Perez that as many as five clubs are interested in signing him this summer.

The 22-year-old has established himself as one of the top young players in European football, but he has been limited to only 11 La Liga starts despite Madrid's poor domestic form so far this season.

Asensio remains keen to stay at the Bernabeu, but Diario Gol reports that he would be prepared to move on unless he is afforded more regular first-team opportunities.

Among the interested parties are Premier League giants Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, with the latter thought to be particularly keen to sign the Spaniard in an attempt to improve the form of Alvaro Morata.

However, fellow European heavyweights Juventus and Bayern Munich are expected to provide competition for his signature in a five-team race for the midfielder.

The report claims that there was interest in Asensio during the January transfer window too, but Madrid are unwilling to lose the Spain international, who has scored eight goals and set up five more in 30 appearances across all competitions this season.
