Wigan Athletic and Arsenal reportedly hold talks about the possibility of Japanese winger Ryo Miyaichi joining the Lancashire club on a season-long loan.

Wigan Athletic are reportedly in talks with Arsenal about the possibility of signing Japanese winger Ryo Miyaichi on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old, who has yet to make his top-flight debut for the Gunners, has had loan spells at Bolton Wanderers and Feyenoord during the past 18 months.

Arsene Wenger wants Miyaichi to move to another Premier League club and is keen to strike a deal with the Latics soon to avoid complications with the player's work permit, according to The Mirror.

Miyaichi made 14 appearances for Bolton last season, scoring one goal.
