Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata is confident that his Spanish compatriots Santi Cazorla and Michu will prove themselves in the Premier League.

Cazorla joined Arsenal from Malaga in the summer while Michu moved to Swansea City from Rayo Vallecano, and both players have started the season impressively.

"I'm very happy for them, they are doing very well," said Mata after receiving an award from his hometown side Club de Campo La Fresneda.

"And they are going to play even better."

Chelsea are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with nine points from three matches.
