Real Madrid have reportedly stepped up their interest in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang by making an enquiry for the Arsenal skipper.
The Gabon international is said to be considered as a plan B option for Los Blancos as they fear missing out on their top targets.
France Football reports that Madrid could now focus on signing the 30-year-old from Arsenal, however, with initial talks having already been held.
Aubameyang is soon to enter the final year of his Emirates Stadium contract, meaning that he could be available for as little as £44m this summer.
Gabon football president Pierre Alain Mounguengui last week urged Aubameyang to join "a more ambitious club" than Arsenal if he is to further his career.
