Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is reportedly expected to hold contract talks with Gunners boss Unai Emery.
Wilshere, whose current deal in North London expires at the end of this month, has previously suggested that he is willing to pen fresh terms with the club.
According to the Evening Standard, however, Wilshere wants assurances over his role in Emery's team from next season and a clearer picture of the manager's intentions.
Wilshere made 38 appearances for Arsenal last season, and the newspaper adds that the midfielder remains keen to sit down and thrash out his future with the Gunners.
The 26-year-old is expected to begin talks promptly due to his absence from England's World Cup squad.
