Pictures circulate on the internet that appear to show Arsenal forward Gervinho arriving at an airport in Rome ahead of a medical at Roma.

Arsenal forward Gervinho is reported to have touched down in Rome for a medical ahead of a reported £7m move to Roma.

An image of the Ivorian arriving at an airport in the Italian capital has been circulating on the internet since this morning.

It comes after Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed that the former Lille man was close to joining a new club.

Since his £10m move to North London two years ago, the 26-year-old has netted just 11 goals in 63 appearances.
