Arsenal will reportedly face competition for Derby County midfielder Will Hughes from fellow Premier League side Fulham.

Fulham manager Martin Jol has reportedly identified Derby County youngster Will Hughes as his main target during the January transfer window.

The 17-year-old has long been linked with Fulham's London rivals Arsenal, whose manager Arsene Wenger is said to have been impressed with the midfielder's performances in the Championship this season.

However, Jol believes that he will able to offer Hughes more senior action and is readying a £4m offer, according to The People.

It has been reported that the Rams would find it difficult to turn down such an offer.

Hughes has made 21 appearances this season, scoring two goals.
