Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre insists that the club has no intention of selling striker Luis Suarez.

Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre has reiterated that Luis Suarez is not for sale.

The club have received two bids from Arsenal for the striker, who has said that he would like to leave Anfield this summer.

Speaking at a press conference during the team's pre-season tour, Ayre told reporters: "The situation with Luis Suarez remains the same.

"It's never been our intention to sell Luis. We have received two separate offers from Arsenal and have rejected both."

The 26-year-old joined Liverpool from Ajax in 2011.
