Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta 'prioritising the future of Bukayo Saka'

Mikel Arteta is reportedly eager to secure the long-term future of Bukayo Saka, who has under 16 months left on his contract.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is reportedly ready to prioritise contract talks with Bukayo Saka.

The 18-year-old has been provided with regular game time this season, making 21 starts and eight substitute appearances in all competitions.

However, the academy graduate now has less than 16 months left on his contract, which has led to interest from other clubs.

According to The Telegraph, Arteta wants a positive resolution as soon as possible after showing faith in the left-sided player.

Saka has missed just one of Arteta's 16 matches in charge, often being used at left-back in the absence of Kieran Tierney.

Liverpool are one of the clubs who have been linked with a future approach for the prospect.
