Arsenal's head of recruitment Sven Mislintat is reportedly progressing with his plans to bring in Rennes starlet Ismaila Sarr and Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz.
The Gunners are said to be planning for the long term with their transfer business and see the young duo as stars of the future.
According to The Mirror, winger Sarr and central midfielder Havertz are in Mislintat's sights as the January window approaches.
However, Arsenal could supposedly face competition from Barcelona for Senegal international Sarr, on whom Rennes are prepared to cash in over the next 10 months.
Havertz is also seen as one of European football's hottest young talents, having featured more than 60 times for Leverkusen and been capped by Germany's senior side by the age of 19.
