Arsenal to move for Joe Worrall in January?

Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall emerges as a transfer target for Arsenal, according to a report.

Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a January move for Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall.

The 22-year-old, who spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan with Rangers, has been an ever-present for Forest this season, playing every minute of their 16 Championship matches.

According to Football Insider, Arsenal are admirers of the former England Under-21 international and plan to watch him in action against Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday night.

The report claims that the Premier League club's desire to sign a new centre-back during the January transfer window could see them move for Worrall at the mid-point of the season.

The 6ft 4in defender has also previously been linked with moves to Newcastle United and Burnley, suggesting that Forest might find it difficult to keep hold of him at the start of 2020.

Arsenal have conceded 19 times in their 13 league matches this season, with David Luiz and Sokratis failing to convince as a partnership at the back.
