Arsenal have reportedly been given the go-ahead to complete a £25.6m deal for Lille midfielder Renato Sanches in January.
The former Bayern Munich starlet played 23 times in Lille's triumphant 2020-21 Ligue 1 campaign but is due to become a free agent in under two years' time.
Arsenal bolstered their midfield ranks in the summer with the signing of Albert Sambi Lokonga, but Mohamed Elneny is expected to depart next year, and Thomas Partey continues to struggle for form.
As a result, the Gunners have been heavily tipped to sign Sanches, who has also been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Barcelona and Manchester City.
According to Telefoot, via TEAMtalk, Arsenal have now been given the green light to sign Sanches over the winter, with the deal worth €30m (£25.6m) to Lille.
The Portugal international has one goal and one assist to his name from 12 appearances in all competitions this season, but he has already missed 10 games due to injury.
