A report claims that Arsene Wenger is aware of a growing tension behind the scenes at Arsenal after Alexis Sanchez appeared to be snubbed when celebrating a goal.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is concerned about the growing tension between contract rebel Alexis Sanchez and his teammates, according to a report.

The Chile international plans to let his contract run down before departing as a free agent at the end of the season, or sooner should the Gunners choose to cash in next month while his signature still carries some value.

Sanchez's contract standoff is said to have caused unrest behind the scenes at Arsenal, and the issue was highlighted on Thursday evening when the forward appeared to be snubbed by the rest of the squad during a goal celebration against Crystal Palace.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry claimed that there is a clear "divide" in the dressing room, while The Mirror suggests that Wenger is fully aware of the underlying issue and is hoping to handle it before it gets out of hand.

Sanchez scored twice in the 3-2 win over Palace at Selhurst Park, taking his league tally for the season to seven in 17 outings.
