Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey two weeks away from return to action

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says that midfielder Aaron Ramsey is likely to return to the side in around two weeks' time.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that midfielder Aaron Ramsey is unlikely to return to action for another two weeks.

The Welshman has been on the sidelines with a thigh problem since December, while Mesut Ozil, Jack Wilshere and Laurent Koscielny also remain on the injury list.

The French boss gave an update regarding his players' fitness after the Gunners dropped points against Swansea City in a 2-2 draw at the Emirates on Tuesday night.

"None of them are close to coming back," Wenger said in his post-match press conference. "Koscielny is out for a while, after that, Ozil is at least two to three weeks.

"Ramsey is maybe the closest. Maybe two weeks, but he's had little setbacks. Sometimes scar tissue will bleed a little bit and we have to slow down again. When a guy has a tendon injuy in a very sensitive place it's difficult. You always have to push, but not too far."

Arsenal are currently fourth in the Premier League table, six points adrift of leaders Chelsea.
