Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain believes that defeating Manchester United could help the Gunners' league chances next season.

Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain believes that defeating Manchester United this weekend could give the North London club a boost for next season.

The Gunners will go up against the Red Devils just days after the North-West side clinched their 20th league title with a 3-0 victory over Aston Villa.

"Obviously it's a massive game for us with a Champions League place at stake but it's also massive for next season with the confidence we can get from winning," the London Evening Standard quotes Oxlade-Chamberlain as saying.

Arsenal are currently in third place in the table, just one point above Chelsea.
