Winger Nicolas Pepe has revealed that he is 'low on confidence' after a relatively poor start to his Arsenal career.
While the Ivory Coast international has contributed one goal and two assists from five starts and three substitute outings, the 24-year-old is yet to suggest that he can justify the £72m which Arsenal paid Lille in the summer.
After a disappointing showing against Manchester United on Monday night, Pepe was quick to acknowledge that he is far away from producing his best form.
Pepe told RMC: "It has not been easy, I must tell the truth. My stats have not been good enough or my usual performances, it is not the same as Lille or the Liverpool game earlier in the season.
"My confidence must come back. I am not very worried. People may be worried about my statistics but I am not. I have to keep working as the level here is different, so is the language.
"It is a new league for me and I must adapt quickly, but it won't take very long."
Pepe will hope to feature when Arsenal take on Standard Liege in the Europa League on Thursday night.
