Lukas Podolski urges Arsenal supporters to forget about Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Manchester City and get behind the team for the remainder of the season.

Lukas Podolski has told Arsenal supporters that their support will be vital during the remainder of the season.

The Gunners suffered a 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Manchester City on Sunday, but Podolski is keen to forget the game and focus on what is ahead.

"Hey fans, shit happens," read a message on the forward's official Facebook page. "You saw the game: it has unfortunately not as gone as we have imagined that.

"But it must go on and we have many more hard games. You are with us, we need you! Come on arsenal, Poldi."

Arsenal, who are yet to win in 2013, sit sixth in the Premier League table, six points behind rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
