Fulham manager Martin Jol says his side could have defeated Arsenal 5-3 after the sides' draw in the Premier League.

Fulham manager Martin Jol has insisted that his side played well enough to defeat Arsenal in their 3-3 draw at the Emirates Stadium.

The Dutchman believes that the Cottagers could have won the game 5-3, and singled out striker Dimitar Berbatov for praise.

"It could have been 3-5 to us. We broke time after time and created chances, but it was horrible to see us concede," BBC Sport quotes Jol as saying.

"It was good to see Berbatov play so well, and in the second half I thought we played fantastically. Berbatov is certainly our penalty specialist, and today it was cool. He's a quality player."

Berbatov struck twice in the match in which Alexander Kacaniklic also on target, but a Lukas Podolski strike and a Olivier Giroud brace ensured a stalemate.

Mikel Arteta could have secured victory for the Gunners with a late penalty, but Mark Schwarzer produced a flying save to deny the Spaniard.
