Half-Time Report: Fulham peg Arsenal back from two down

Goals from Dimitar Berbatov and Alexander Kacaniklic peg Arsenal back from two up in the opening half at the Emirates.

Arsenal have squandered a two-goal lead at home to Fulham in the opening half this afternoon.

The visitors were the first to trouble the goal when Bryan Ruiz collected on the edge of the area and let fly. The Costa Rican's effort took a deflection and span just wide of the post.

The Gunners broke the deadlock in the 11th minute, however, when Olivier Giroud headed Theo Walcott's corner powerfully past Mark Schwarzer.

Midway through the half, the home side doubled their lead when Mikel Arteta squared for an unmarked Lukas Podolski to sweep home.

Arsene Wenger's men were unable to maintain the two-goal advantage as Ruiz's corner was headed low into the net by Dimitar Berbatov six minutes later.

Fulham got back on level terms five minutes before the interval when substitute Alexander Kacaniklic, who had come on for the injured Kieran Richardson, met Berbatov's cross with a header into the corner.
