Santi Cazorla says that Arsenal were right to sign Nacho Monreal in January.

Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has praised manager Arsene Wenger for signing Nacho Monreal in January.

The left-back joined the Gunners on transfer deadline day and has made an impressive start to his career in North London, which has led to him earning a starting place for the Spanish national side.

Cazorla, who played with his compatriot at Malaga, believes that the 27-year-old is suited to his new club.

"Nacho is a footballer I really enjoy watching and playing with. He has adapted to the Premier League very well," Cazorla told Arsenal Magazine.

"What's more, our style of play suits him because he is someone with a lot of movement. He is a very good signing, and is proving it.

"I think Arsenal have really got it right with the transfer. I am very happy because he is a great mate."

Monreal cost Arsenal £8m two months ago.
