Sol Campbell believes Calum Chambers will grow into a centre-back

Calum Chambers will become an Arsenal centre-back in the future, according to Sol Campbell.

Sol Campbell reckons that Calum Chambers will become an Arsenal centre-back at some point in the future.

The 19-year-old has predominantly featured as a right-back during his short spell in North London so far, but Campbell has said that he believes that the youngster will move into a central position later in his career.

"I don't think he is going to be a right-back or a left-back," Campbell told Sky Sports following Arsenal's 1-1 north London derby draw with Tottenham Hotspur yesterday.

"Because of his body-shape and framework, eventually I think he will get into the middle. Keep him on the pitch and hopefully he will keep on learning.

"He needs to listen. He will make mistakes for sure, but he needs to learn from them and improve every time he goes onto the pitch."

Chambers signed for Arsenal from Southampton in a £16m transfer during the summer.
