Arsenal will hold preliminary talks over a new deal for William Saliba, according to a report.
The defender first joined the Premier League club in 2019; however, since that point he has not made a single appearance for the Gunners, and is currently out on loan with Marseille.
The Frenchman has been a regular for the team this season, making 27 appearances in Ligue 1, and a further nine across other competitions.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are now set to hold conversations with him about a new contract after being impressed with Saliba's performances during this campaign.
This is the 20-year-old's third loan spell away from London, having previously played for Saint-Etienne and Nice, but the player is hoping to prove himself with the Gunners.
Saliba's current deal with Arsenal expires in 2024, which is why the club are hoping to start preliminary talks about extending his stay.
