Arsenal players object to guard of honour for Manchester United?

Some Arsenal players are reportedly against performing a guard of honour for Manchester United in this Sunday's clash at the Emirates.

A number of Arsenal players are reportedly unhappy with having to perform a guard of honour for Premier League champions Manchester United this Sunday.

The North London outfit, who lost striker Robin van Persie to the Red Devils last summer, are expected to go through with the traditional gesture following United's title clinching victory over Aston Villa on Monday evening.

While some members of the Arsenal squad have expressed their objections to performing a guard of honour in front of their home fans this weekend, it is expected that the gesture will be carried out, according to the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, reports have claimed that the Gunners have pocketed a £1.5m bonus from Van Persie's contract due to a clause which was triggered when United won the title.
