Arsene Wenger: 'Arsenal taking FA Cup seriously'

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says that his side are taking the FA Cup seriously this season.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that his side are taking the FA Cup seriously this season.

The Gunners reached the semi-finals of the tournament with a 4-1 win over Everton, as they look to end a run of over eight years without a trophy.

"Look we took this competition seriously," he told reporters. "Since the start of this competition it's true that we had a good draw in the fact that we played all the games at home.

"It's the first time since I played in the FA Cup [that this has happened]. But, on the other hand, we played difficult opponents, Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton and that shows you that we have taken this competition seriously."

Arsenal last claimed victory in the FA Cup in 2005, when they beat Manchester United in the final.
