Chris Hughton reveals "plan" to gun down Arsenal

Chris Hughton says that his Brighton side have a "plan" to knock defending champions Arsenal out of the FA Cup.

Chris Hughton has warned Arsenal that his Brighton & Hove Albion side have a trick up their sleeve ahead of this evening's FA Cup clash at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton host the defending champions on a weekend when both Chelsea and Manchester City bowed out of the competition with shock home defeats to Bradford City and Middlesbrough.

Hughton has won three of his first four games as Seagulls boss, and despite admitting that a "massive effort" is needed for a fourth win, he cannot rule it out if Albion execute their "plan".

"Absolutely, the pressure is all on them," he told The Mirror. "And if you look at the players they have, the team they can put out, that is only natural.

"We will have a plan, and we have been working on that since Friday. But for it to work, everybody must play at their maximum.

"It will take a massive effort from us to win. We can't afford to have anyone not giving everything they have got. Yes, they are favourites. Of course they are. But we can't go into it in the wrong frame of mind."

Brighton are currently 19th in the Championship table, six points above the relegation zone.
