Steven Naismith targets Arsenal

Everton midfielder Steven Naismith is convinced that the Toffees are good enough to qualify for the Champions League this season.

Everton midfielder Steven Naismith is convinced that the Toffees are good enough to qualify for the Champions League this season.

Roberto Martinez's men moved four points adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal in the table following the 3-1 win away to Fulham this afternoon.

The Gunners travel to Goodison Park next weekend in a clash that could determine who finishes in the top four places, and Naismith is confident that Martinez is well-equipped to mastermind a win over the North Londoners.

He told Sky Sports News: "We have believed all along that we can compete for the Champions League places, and that's what we will continue to do.

"This win here is just as big as next week is going to be now. I'm sure the manager will have his game plan for it and we'll work on it this week and hopefully get another win."

Saturday's clash with Arsene Wenger's men kicks off at 3pm.
