Tuesday's National League predictions including Halifax vs. Solihull

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's National League fixtures, including Halifax vs. Solihull.

Altrincham will be bidding to strengthen their grip on a playoff position in the National League when they welcome Dorking Wanderers to Moss Lane on Tuesday night.

The hosts are currently fourth in the table, boasting 49 points from their opening 29 matches of the campaign, while Dorking sit down in 19th, just two points ahead of the relegation zone.

We say: Altrincham 2-0 Dorking Wanderers

Altrincham have proved themselves to be one of the best teams in the National League this season, and Tuesday's affair is a tough assignment for Dorking. It might be a cagey affair at times, but we are expecting the home side to navigate their way to all three points.

Halifax vs. Solihull (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Both looking to secure top-seven finishes this term, Halifax Town and Solihull Moors will do battle at the Shay Stadium on Tuesday night in the National League.

The hosts have had over a week to dwell on a heavy defeat at Southend United last time out, while the Moors were convincing winners in the FA Trophy over the weekend.

We say: Halifax Town 1-1 Solihull Moors

Halifax have struggled since the turn of the year but should be able to collect at least a point at home on Tuesday night.

Solihull have been sensational at home but less-than convincing on their travels in recent times, so we feel that the Moors will settle for a share of the spoils in this one.

Wealdstone vs. Maidenhead (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Bidding to prolong their unbeaten start to life under David Noble, Wealdstone welcome Maidenhead United to the Freebets.co.uk Stadium for a National League showdown on Tuesday.

Both sides played out 1-1 draws in their most recent affairs, as the hosts shared the spoils with Barnet while Alan Devonshire's squad took a point home from York City.

We say: Wealdstone 2-1 Maidenhead United

Maidenhead are slowly rebuilding their confidence in the final third, but the new manager bounce is yet to wear off for Wealdstone, who have been ruthless at home throughout the winter period.

The Stones have also had the Magpies' number over the past couple of years since losing both 2020-21 fixtures by an aggregate score of 10-0, and we expect Noble's men to harness their prolific exploits in front of their own fans to prolong their purple patch.

Dag & Red vs. Chesterfield (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Chesterfield make the trip to Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday evening looking to further strengthen their commanding lead at the top of the National League standings.

Meanwhile, the home side head into this fixture searching for the win that will create extra breathing space between themselves and the relegation zone.

We say: Dagenham & Redbridge 1-3 Chesterfield

On the back of defeating Rochdale at the weekend, Dagenham & Redbridge will be confident of causing a surprise against the leaders. However, we cannot back against Chesterfield in any fixture at this level, leading us to predict a hard-earned win with several goals being scored in the process.

Gateshead vs. Eastleigh (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Gateshead play host to Eastleigh on Tuesday evening looking for the win that could move them into the top five of the National League standings.

At a time when the home side occupy seventh position in the table, Eastleigh are down in 14th spot after putting together their worst run of form this season.

We say: Gateshead 2-1 Eastleigh

Having only recently dropped out of playoff contention, Eastleigh will feel that they are on a par, quality-wise, with their hosts. Nevertheless, Gateshead are back building a head of steam, leading us to predict a narrow success for the North-East outfit.
