Massimiliano Allegri insists that he is only focused on claiming third place for AC Milan and claims that his future should not be in question.

AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has dismissed talks of an exit from the San Siro, insisting that his future at the club should not be up for debate.

The 45-year-old endured a terrible start to the season, but he has since turned the Serie A giants' form around to propel them into third place.

Allegri has insisted that he is not thinking about his future and is only focused on putting together the results needed in the final five games to secure Champions League football.

"At the moment if I was to say that I have the time to read all the things being written, I'd be lying," the Italian told reporters.

"I'm focused on third place. The season started in a certain way and now we are where we are and we're playing for Champions League qualification.

"I don't think my future is in question. You can't reduce a coach's role to the last five games. As always in any case, regardless of what I want to do, the choice will be made by the club and more specifically, the president."

The Rossoneri face Catania in this evening's Serie A clash.
