Aberdeen are reportedly closing in on the signing of free agent Stephen Gleeson after the player's short-term deal expired at Ipswich Town.
The 29-year-old has four caps for the Republic of Ireland and scored against Mexico in an international friendly last year.
According to the Daily Record, Dons coach Derek McInnes will bring the former Birmingham City midfielder to the Pittodrie Stadium this summer.
The Scottish club have already secured the signature of Chris Forrester from Peterborough United, who will bring healthy competition for Gleeson next season.
Aberdeen finished second in the Scottish Premiership last season, nine points behind league winners Celtic.
