England's women pipped to gold in synchronised 10m platform

England's Tonia Couch and Sarah Barrow pick up silver in the women's synchronised 10m platform, with Canada pipping them to gold on the final dive in Glasgow.

Tonia Couch and Sarah Barrow have won silver for England in the women's synchronised 10m platform, having only just been pipped to the gold by Canada.

The 2012 European champions led going into the final round of dives, but were overtaken by the experienced pair of Meahan Benfeito and Roseline Filion.

The standard of the competition may perhaps have been affected by long delays, but Barrow and Couch dived consistently to post a score of 307.92, bettered only slightly by Canada's 310.65.

Malaysia's Pandela Rinong Pamg and her 15-year-old partner Nur Dhabitah Sabri beat their teammates to the bronze medal in a five-team final in which Australia finished bottom with a score of 292.50.
