England trio reach men's 1m springboard diving final

England diving trio Jack Laugher, Chris Mears and Freddie Woodward comfortably reach the final of the men's 1m springboard event at the Commonwealth Games.

Team England diving trio Jack Laugher, Chris Mears and Freddie Woodward have all qualified for the final of the men's 1m springboard competition at the Commonwealth Games.

Laugher recorded the best score of the qualifying session as he received a score of 435.30 from his six dives.

Meanwhile, Mears finished in third place with a score of 383.40 and Woodward was just behind him with 365.45.

Scotland's James Heatly also reached the final, which takes place later today at the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh.
