James Heatly: 'Diving at Commonwealth Games will be great personal experience'

Scotland's James Heatly says that taking part in the Commonwealth Games on home soil will be a "great experience".

Scotland diver James Heatly is expecting a "special few days" in the Commonwealth Games as he prepares to get his campaign underway.

The 16-year-old will take part in tomorrow's 1m springboard event at the Royal Commonwealth Pool, before competing in the 3m springboard later this week.

"It's going to be a great experience diving at my home pool. It is going to be a very special few days," Heatly told Edinburgh Evening News.

"I know the water and it should make a difference. We should also have the majority of the support, which is nice."

Compatriot Grace Reid will also take part in Thursday's 3m category.
