England's Joe Root and Stuart Broad have been named in the ICC Test Team of the Year 2014.
Yorkshire batsman Root made three big hundreds and averaged 97.12 during the summer after being recalled to the side following the 5-0 Ashes whitewash.
Experienced seamer Broad was one of few positives from that disastrous tour of Australia and took 19 wickets in a 3-1 series victory over India in the middle of 2014.
The man responsible for much of England's misery down under - Mitchell Johnson - sees his fine form rewarded with a place in the team alongside Australia teammate David Warner.
Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews skippers the side, while South African paceman Dale Steyn is included in the XI for a record seventh year in succession.
