The San Diego Chargers have confirmed that they have signed offensive tackle Joe Barksdale on a one-year deal.
The 26-year-old was allowed to leave the St Louis Rams at the end of the 2014 season after three years at the club.
The Rams were reportedly interested in bringing the tackle back to the team, but the Chargers swooped in with an offer in the region of $1m (£644,000) to sign Barksdale for the 2015 campaign.
Barksdale has made 54 appearances in his five-year NFL career.
