Sam Bradford knew of Philadelphia Eagles interest 'three or four' weeks ago

New Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford is excited to join coach Chip Kelly after three weeks of talks.

Quarterback Sam Bradford has admitted that his move to the Philadelphia Eagles was in the pipeline for some time.

Bradford joined the Eagles from the St Louis Rams yesterday, in a swap deal with Nick Foles.

The 27-year-old told NFL.com: "This had been in the works for a while, so it didn't catch me totally by surprise when it happened yesterday."

He added: "[I] knew this was a possibility probably three, four weeks ago. I think that [coach] Chip [Kelly] and the Eagles wanted me here, and I'm excited to be here."

Bradford didn't play last season, but he threw 58 touchdowns between 2010 and 2013 for the Rams.
